My experiment
Yes, this is me, Jackie Paulson
What you do not know is that I have cystic acne. I am now experimenting. I have mixed water and AMOXICILLIN on my face. The doctor has me taking Internally 875mg a day or more. Well, If I can beat the bacteria on the inside, I need to beat it on the outside. So, Guess what It is Working. I have struggled for six years with this awful dis-ease.
Slowly over the years, after I cannot cover up my acne, I slowly withdrew from the outside world. It is horrible that the outside world does judge by appearance. I do not have any real friends where I live. I have more online friends. This is perhaps why I love to blog and meet new friends. Why not? can still feel connected to people this way. My spouse had been a supportive man who does all the shopping. I will not go out in public unless basically I am FORCED. Yes I do work, but where I work, I don’t have to worry about how I look in Security. Go ahead piss me off, see what happens!
I decided to openly come public with this. I believe I am misdiagnosed. Now I need the Vampire Face lift because of all the scars. My own fault is that I use an exact-o Knife and dig to get out the acne, why? Its soos painful. It feels better when I dig it all out.
Here is a recent photo too: see my camera doesn’t put the right date on it, I need a new one. Donations of a new camera with date would be nice.

Thanks Eliz.
It’s working! Wow! You must be on top of the world Jackie. I hope it continues to do it’s job and clear up your acne so you can feel part of society again. You still have us anyway!
Good luck, and keep us updated as to your progress.
Good luck but you shouldn’t let it keep you from happiness in the outside world. You should also try mixing avocado with toothpaste it works wonders . You are a beautiful person outside and in
Awww poor u Jackie..I hope the medicines work..
Hi Jackie, I won’t give you a load of sympathy because I don’t believe it does anything to help but I will say a huge well done for facing your fears online. I get so angry when people judge because of appearance when it who we are that is important. I understand something of what you feel because I have a serious weight problem and having arthritis prevents me doing the exercise I need to do to help. Catch 22 situation, it also causes me more visual problems and yes on my face. I really do admire you, to heck with what people think, you have come this far and I would encourage you try and imagine people see your beauty not your scars and get out there and have a great time. Difficult I know but well worth it. Also, have you tried any natural home remedies? Good luck. Marie
wow I do applaud your honesty. It takes courage. Seeing you around the blog world I have always pictured you as a super popular bubbly person who is always surounded by many friends. Thats the exact opposite of what you have said in this post. You are such a beautiful person who reaches out to others so freely and with love.
I know it sounds insensitive to offer advise but many times diet and vitamins can cure what modern medicine cannot and doctors don’t always share that kind of advise. So I join @marie fullerton about the natural remedy and add the diet and vitamins question.
Thanks to all of you who encouraged me, gave me helpful tips and wonderful advice. I will keep you updated. I just got off work, so I am tired, but wanted to thank each of you for being so inviting. ♥
Although I do not have cystic acne, I can relate to the wanting to stay home all the time. I can also relate with @marie fullerton about the weight thing. I also have a weight problem due to a thyroid problem and I suffer from depression from it. It keeps me from wanting to go places and do things that I once loved.A lot of it comes from being teased all through school and made fun of. It sucks that so much is based on outward appearances BUT I will say that because of my past and what I went through, I am now more open to others and less apt to judge a book by its cover. To me, you are a beautiful person and if I knew you in real life, I would say to heck with the acne, girl, let’s go hang out!
I don’t have any advice about how to get rid of it but you are very brave for opening up about this and if anything, this post made me want to be your friend more because it made you even more relatable to me.
Good luck with that. Sometimes you need to try different things.. do what works for you!
I’m am honored yo know you, if only online. It takes incredible strength and courage to reveal your weaknesses to others, especially online! I admire you for it! I have suffered with oily skin and acne since my teenage years. I only have one kidney so my body doesn’t flush out toxins as fast as if it had two, I noticed that when I drink dark sodas, high acidity drinks and I break out. I was told by an aesthetician that certain areas of the face, relating to break outs, mean different things going on in your body. For instance, break outs along the chin area is hormone related, break outs along the forehead is stress related, breakouts around the cheeks is digestion related. Or vice versa - forehead digestion, cheeks stress. Anyway, I struggle with it stil. But what you confessed not only shows your courage but it also shows your confidence in knowing already you are accepted by yourself first and that is what is most important. I too have envisioned you as a bright bubbly person and I still do. Thanks for sharing. Deb
