If My House was ON FIRE…what would I grab first?
Topic #131:If My House was ON FIRE…what would I grab first?
Not that we want anything to happen to your home. As far as we know its perfectly safe and nice. But if it did, and you only had a minute to run in and grab some things, what would you take?

There was a fire drill that we didn’t know of late last year in our building, I totally grabbed for my important documents and yes I was definitely leaving the laptops and some valuables which I only laugh at that it would have been left behind!
This question reminds me of the movie “Leap Year”! - ohanabee | May 19, 2011 at 10:56 am | Reply

My cats!
I have even trained my cats to come to me. I do not want them afraid in a fire or if a tornado were coming. So, I have trained them both. They know what it means to “get in the cage now.” So, I won’t have to fear. I can replace everything but them.
So I also have renters insurance b/c I live in an apartment.

“Fire”…what a memory I have regarding that horrid flesh consuming energy.
What to grab first?
I was forced to make that that easy choice many years ago!
I write about it here:

ps…cute kitty there!
Thank you for the inspiring comment. It made me sad to know that you lost your mom at a young age. I can’t imagine what it’s like to loose a parent. One of my greatest fear is answering the phone and finding out that one of my parents has passed away. I’m glad that God has been there for my parents when I ‘m not around. What to carry when there’s fire? My wife and son then the legal documebts.great post.
He’s adorable and I love the red hat… You could have submitted that for the photo challenge.
I am just learning how to download and submit photo’s, and thanks for the compliment on my cats Hat,..
The dogs, cat and fish, of course!
Yes we need our ID got that one…. and added to my Grab fast kit. Daisy is a priority, and I know we love our animals. ♥ Thanks for commenting.
Daisy. And then my purse. In that order. (Assuming my family could get out on their own, that is!)
A few silver dollars and the drivers license. Can’t start over with that ID because you need ID to get ID
