Now the most interesting thing about this product is that it cures acne as well if you use it as a topical treatment. As acne is usually problem of oily skin so all those people who has oily skin can use this product to control their skin oil as well. The product is very affective for all types of acne like blackheads and cystic.
How it helps Acne:
Milk of Magnesia is magnesium hydroxide which is alkaline in nature. Due to its alkaline nature it neutralizes excess acid of skin which causes acne. For oily skin it absorbs excess oil. It also has disinfecting properties which keeps blemishes away. If you don’t have oily skin neither you have acne then avoid using milk of magnesium as it will be very harsh for your skin.
How to use it:
Shake the bottle well; with the help of cotton ball apply the solution on your skin. If your skin is not too oily and you don’t have severe acne then you can apply it only on T-zone. Let it dry and then wash it off. Usages depends on your skin condition like if you have sensitive skin then you can try twice a week and if you have oily skin then use it every other day. If you are noticing improvement in your skin and your skin is getting use to it then you can increase number of applications like daily to twice a day

It’s so nice of you to share this potential acne cure! I’ll have to tell a friend of mine, who also has adult acne. Hers seems to be hormone-related, but it can’t hurt to try Milk of Magnesia topically. Much better than taking those dangerous drugs dermatologists like to prescribe.
Yes, numbers drop off *everywhere* online in summer!
Thanks for the comment and I put the Milk of Magnesia on my face. I don’t take it off…my face is over oily. I got it for 7.00 at Walgreens today. It can’t hurt - fyi- Mine is part hormonal but if you keep reading it - it’s has something to do with alkaline and acidity. Let me know how your friend does ok? Thanks.
Wow. The Milk of Magnesia thing makes perfectly good sense once you say it. I wish I would have known that when I was in high school. I had acne (well, I still have it… just not as extreme) from 5th grade on through college. That absolutely sucked. I finally figured out if I put a dab of toothpaste on a zit the night before I went to bed or for a short time after I got out of the shower in the morning, it would take a lot of the swelling and redness out.
Jessica, I am glad this worked for you. I have a 17 year old struggling with this now. So, She can use your method first and if that don’t work well, I will let her use my method. Thanks for your testimony as I have friends who needed to hear this today.
Jackie, I hope the milk of magnesia works for you - it seems a logical step to take, because it cools the skin; if nothing else, it should help to reduce some of the redness.
I am glad you stopped by Barb19- I will keep you posted on my acne condition.
I’m glad you mentioned the MOM. I had heard about it previously years ago and had forgotten. Let us know how it works!
I will post about my results and today is day one…so keep coming back… ♥
Hi Jackie,
It’s great that you are taking a proactive approach to your chronic acne problem. I truly wish you the very best. I’ll have to check back on occasion, to see how it is working for you.
It’s been a while since we’ve connected on each other’s blogs, so how have you been, otherwise? Take care.
Paulette
