Perhaps not, but your Real Self does, so rejoice in that, trust its awesome brilliance, and at the perfect time, your third dimensional self will know too
Thanks Michael, Call me if you can!! or is it too late?

Jackie your “303 BLOGGING TOPICS” write-up on scribed could help suggest what one could write at: http://www.scribd.com/doc/47929408/303-Blogging-Topics-Scribd-Doc
Thank you for noticing my scribd account and article, you are right.
“In the end of life none of this matters and that what does matter is “glorifying God.” In the past 8 years I’ve been in E.R. nursing, there were times when I ask, why am I doing all of these? It’s a hard job, it’s stressful, you can offer every best care possible and some patient’s still can be rude and make your shift a semi-hell. But then I search deep in my heart and realized God made me an instrument of healing and comfort for others and I should look at my profession as a calling and not as a burden or simply to earn money and pay my dues. These made me more happier and appreciative of what I do. Jackie, you are a great person with a generous heart. Follow your passion and do what you love. I’m not an expert in career advice but I believe that God will guide you on the right path, it may be a hard path but it’s something that will give you the fulfillment and happiness in your life. I would like to see you blossom in whatever you do.
I know it can be so difficult in the nursing business or career. I envy you and your gifts and talents. I appreciate that you enjoy what I write and that I have a generous heart. I have no idea what to do but I have met two wonderful people that God connected me with..if you are not on http://spiritualnetworks.com I highly recommend that you do. I have been on there for a year and met those two people to help me now. It’s been one year ago I joined and I pray my life change in wonderful ways. God has his hands in this. Thanks..xo
Absolutely, go for it! Many great leaders have followed the same path. Follow your heart it won’t steer you wrong. “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try, try again” Never give up!
You were right to leave. I like the traveling cutter idea..there are so many people who find it difficult to leave their house and I think you would be in demand! Cheering you on here!
Chris
If you enjoy doing hair, the travelling business may work out best for you. I’ve had bosses who were ridiculous micro-managers and it is exhausting. While you work for them, you do have to do things their way, because they say so, but ultimately, you have to follow the path that doesn’t leave you drained and unable to live up to your potential. Good luck.
Hey Jackie. It’s not ranting when you make decisions that you are comfortable with and what’s best for your faith/life/family in the long run (I was reality-slapped with that about 8 years ago). Should/Do we live to work or work to live? Some people never figure it out, some may only fulfill one of those questions. Most of us do both during our life. So heck yeah you needed to walk out! Why waste your gift working for close-minded, thumb-screw, stubborn people that care less about the individuals in their employ? Just think how they make their customers feel with their attitude…”if you don’t like the way I intend to cut your hair, then leave”. Their success will never be. God gave you several talents; Jesus gives you tests throughout the journey. Trust your faith, lead yourself, and go sharpen your own scissors. Enjoy your blog…that’s one of the talents you know who gave you, don’t cha know….
tmay82-thanks for your encouragement…you lifted me up today as well as so many of the comments. By tomorrow I am moving on from all that and making better decisions. I think that all of it will lead to what I will do next. It will force me to ponder, and make a plan of action and that is what I needed, don’t ch know… lol thanks
I am impressed with the intelligence and compassion of the people on this blog. Jackie and I have had some awesome sharing, and because of it , I think she may have some wonderful gifts for you.
I would like to know how to attract such wonderful people as are here. I have a poetry blog- http://www.michaellrobins.com, but I want to create a blog that teaches and supports people to have, be, and do whatever they want to have, be , and do. Obviously, I have some ideas, but I am definitely teachable, so I am open to getting any pointers about how to attract people to such a blog?
I think that your vivaciousness is fantastic and your energy is amazing. You are correct that being an attorney in this economy is not worth the debt you would find yourself in. You are better off being a paralegal, hang in there because there will still more of a demand for paralegals than lawyers. I think that since you have had the experience of owning a salon, perhaps looking into taking you salon on the road. My husband built hair salons years ago in New York. There was a hair stylist called Stephen Knoll who used to cut hair at clients homes, he got tired of never having his own station so he settled down for a salon. You would own your business but not have a rent to pay, you would make your own hours, all you need is a client base that you can build through word of mouth . Just a thought. Love your blog
Laurie
Laurie thanks for the suggestions, I am thinking about putting an ad in our paper and say” Have clippers, scissors, will travel.” Then my number. I think you are right that with just a few clients, it can take off to a great business. Thanks for your comment.
Jackie,
I have one suggestion for you. “In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.” (Proverbs 3:6) God bless. I wish you the very best!
Paulette
Brilliant- love it “all you need is a client base that you can build through word of mouth . Just a thought. Love your blog”
Hey M- I might put ad in paper to say “have clipper will travel” and see what happens. Thanks for all of your help and support today and always. You are a Champion!
Hey Jakie. Thanks for the post. I’ve had a similar experience, work in aviation, no jobs. so I made my own. Maybe doors closing are the pushes we need to do what we really love. i now work with dis-empowered people who have probably experienced worse than I have. I’ve just tried to not focus on the negative. All the best with the job/business endeavors. All the best with the book.
I read what you wrote and absolutely agree. You are too good for the system and it is telling you to move out and into your magnificence. I have information for you that is going to blow your mind. Our conversation has been brewing for a long time and its about to come to a magnificent AHA mmoment

Jackie, I really sympathize with you. That was so unfair. Sounds to me like she didn’t care about creativity, she just wanted “cookie-cutter” haircuts dished out as fast as you could so she could get more clients in the chair and more $$ in her pocket. I hate places like that. Hair styling is all about creativity, that’s what makes each stylist unique and loved by their clients. You stick to your ethics - they sound right! A “have clippers will travel” business sounds excellent - not much overhead, either. There are plenty of people who can’t leave home and would really appreciate your visits, for your company as much as for your work. Seniors, disabled people, and people who are down to a one-car family and don’t have access to the car much are among those who would relish your service. Give it a try, get some good press and word of mouth out there, and if you’re heading in the right direction, God will reward you with much success! Perhaps it’s part of His plan for you to help others in this way? Who knows? Sending cyber hugs and good wishes your way.
Jackie
Many people in this world want control, don’t let her bother you. There are many who say its my way or the hoghway. I like the idea of you going off on your own for starting your own business. This sounds like a very good decision. You are a bright and intelligent woman and I am sure you will come up with something. I have finally made a huge decision. I am retiring from my medical job, I will be down to one job with decent hours, day time hours and weekends off, this will be so new to me,but I’m sure its the right decision. To enjoy life, we have to do what is best for us. Good Luck !!
Penny you hit the nail on the head, you are moving on in your life and doing what is best. I feel that in you…I am a very compassionate and empath person. Thanks for your advice, I am going to take a week to work on it.
You have a lot of experience Jackie. If you find that it is impossible to work for people with less experience than you, do your own thing. You can start with home hair care visits and grow from there… All will be well. Happy Father’s Day!
Sorry to hear about your bad luck with this lady.
I don’t know what to say other than Never give up…I pray you will find the right job you are happy with soon!
It’s all about finding that right fit — a salon that lets you be who you are. I think you’ll find it eventually…it just might take a few wrong turns first.
Jackie Darlin’, I saw your request on my page today and came to read what you had written. You know how feel about being controlled by anyone ever again - won’t happen. After 13 yrs of abuse and control, I believe that God wants us to always maintain control over our lives and how we live each day. Time is too short, sweetheart. What of it we spend with Him and on ourselves is all we need to answer for in the next life. Don’t allow someone to make you answer for your response to their out-of-control behavior, walking away was the best choice! Love you as always and God bless, Terri
Thank you Terri for stopping by and I know now that it was destiny to leave that shop. You confirmed it. I appreciate that you said to walk away.
Hello Jackie and thanks for leaving a comment on my site Fb is great it connects people from all walks of life. Reading your list you have here made me think about my own Memoirs that I wrote maybe when you get a chance you can read my at The Devotion Cafe I will leave you the link to my Memoirs. http://chosenwoman.wordpress.com/speaking-engagements/10-minute-daily-devotion/
and from the back ground of your site I see you really are addicted to books. Have a bless day
Kudos to you! I totally sympathize with your point that ” Finding work in my area is “slim” to not existant” I live in a very small town surrounded by small towns and unless you “know” the right person you are S.O.L here, I have been looking for work here for almost 2 years so that our family could have two incomes and maybe stop living paycheck to paycheck, but so far my effort is Futile. I wish you the best of luck Hopefully way better then my own luck up to this point!
MarjiePride, I think you and I are in the same boat. I pray for both of us as the enemy needs to flee. I believe you agree. Talk about “politics’ gotta know someone to get a job what ever right!
Carl, thanks for the helpful insights. I always love to hear other’s opinions. I am so glad that your mom’s hair dresser does it at home. It is not allowed in apartment living or I’d do it. I am thinking “have clippers will travel” ad in paper…who knows.
You do it the boss’s way. Always. Everywhere. If you want the job. Seems her way is satisfactory or she would not have the business. Would not burden myself with BA is this economy. The are many jobs appreciate those skills: accounting firm, local city and county staff, fire dept, police dept, banks, industry, small private airplane firms, post office, school system. My mother’s hair dresser left the shop and does it in her own home. She spent $2,000 to set up and has 5 - 10 customers a week. Enough for her as husband works. She makes her own rules and schedules of course.
