Ok, we are getting ready to move and moving some of our boxes and now my cat has decided to mark my clothes.
For some odd reason he is starting to pee on my clothes. Has anyone had this behavior issue? I think he is scared of the changes coming? He is healthy and loves me-so this is what I can think of.

Cats are very sensitive to stress, and stress can induce a UTI (urinary tract infection). Is it possible that your cat has a UTI? Inappropriate elimination is the #1 symptom. I personally would take your cat in to get his urine checked to rule out an infection.

I believe kitty kat is trying to tell you to get new clothes or at least donate the old ones to charity. Yeah that’s it: reduce the clutter to make your move easier, too! Good luck with moving!

When we move to a new place our pets know something is going on, their routine is different, and routine is very important to animals, especially as they get older. Our dog was like that when we were in the process of moving - she followed us like a shadow, wouldn’t let us out of her sight!
Your cat is just anxious Jackie, and making sure he doesn’t lose you, so he’s “marking” your clothes to be on the safe side. He just needs extra re-assurance from you so I wouldn’t be mad at him. He loves you and wants to keep you close to him.
He’ll settle down again in the new place.

Thank you barb, wow, I am relieved, and yes I think Dee Dee wants attention. I will love him more and yes he follows me like a shadow and wants to sit on my lap more. That photo was taken by me last night as he was on top of me-in my face, it turned out good too. Now it is storming and we have to move 40 boxes tomorrow, ugh… wish us luck,
