My Moving Checklist 2011

I have decided that I hate to move. Either way I am moving from my apartment now to another one across the area I live. I have one week to move which is better than one day. So although it is not far here is my checklist; in no particular order.

Create a move file for receipts and other important information.

Call my insurance agent to change our address and update policy.

Get garage sale things into one box or two and save at sisters for our sale in the end of July.

Collected boxes and ran out so working on this.

We have plenty of packing tape, amen to that.

Filed a change of address because I went online at http://www.USPS.com/

and for 1.00 changed my new address, wish is fast.

Contact Utility Company to disconnect and transfer or connect new service.

Contact bank and take care of that.

Check sites and information on pets and transfer of cats.

So on July 20th 2011- we did a Move in checklist of all the new appliances and make sure it was all done right. We have to things, our gas stove will not light and our refrigerator is slanted and needs to be adjusted and we have noted this on our move in form with landlord.

We are moving boxes daily into our extra room as we now have a 2 bedroom and one bath instead of a tiny one bedroom one bathroom.

Everything is bran new so we love the new smell.

Contact Drivers License to change of address.

The best part of this move is that we do not clean anything as they are gutting them. I am so happy not to have to do the cleaning as I am a neat freak.

    I hate moving, too. Hope all is going well for you in your new digs. Our big move (to another state) comes at the end of August, but the “to do” list is already overwhelming!

    Label the boxes. We could not unpack in one day so need the needed items first and knew where to look.

    I understand what you mean about ” not likeing to Move”
    When I was little my family moved about 13 times
    But in the past 20 years I only moved 3 times
