I want to give credit to: TEDtalksDirector & http://www.ted.com about a story I heard about Becky Blanton.
Becky Blanton planned to live in her van for a year and see the country, but when depression set in and her freelance job ended, her camping trip turned into homelessness. In this intimate talk, she describes her experience of becoming one of America’s working homeless. She took her cat and dog into her van and became a “homeless American.” I cannot say that I would have wanted to be “in her shoes.” I have lost everything once or twice in my lifetime and lived in a homeless state two years ago. I was evicted from my place and this was due to not being paid properly by the State of IL Child Support due to me and a loss of my job.
