“Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award.”

I was nominated by my friend at http://36beauty5.wordpress.com/category/awards/

“Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award.”

Of course I am quite honored and humbled to have received this nomination. Thank you very much - for thinking of me! I truly appreciate the honor!

Rules of the Sisterhood of the
World Bloggers Award

As with many things in life, there are rules here too. But don’t worry they are pretty easy…
• All recipients need to thank the giver
• Post 7 things about yourself
• Pass the award on to 7 other bloggers of their choice and let them know that they have been nominated.
• Include the logo of the award in a post or on your blog

I was right, wasn’t I? That is pretty easy indeed , isn’t it?

7 Things about myself:

I love music

I love my two cats

I am healing from cystic acne and medical treatments

I have a book I want to publish on Dummies guide to IL Security but don’t know how to get it out…(Please help me)

I love to read and do book reviews they are on my other blog at http://getreadingnow.org!

My dream is to go to Law School, Paid for, when I win the Lotto! LOL

I have great compassion for all abused animals and wish I could help them all and be their voice.
My Nominees for the Sisterhood of the
World Bloggers Award

So without further ado, I would like to pass the torch to 7 or _________outstanding bloggers who I think are very deserving of this award. So, in no particular order here they are…

About lostinagreatbook (Lost In a Great Book)

I’m a middle school teacher librarian who reads constantly. I’ve taught in England, Australia and in various schools in Canada, but wherever I can find a bookshop is home. I started this blog after one of my students looked at me in exasperation after I recommended a book to him, asking, “When are you going to start your own blog so we can look up the books you like?” How could I refute that? When I grow up I want to travel with the Doctor in the TARDIS.

http://laurieanichols.wordpress.com/ Laurie and I have built a wonderful friendship over the past two years. She is a wonderful mother, cook, wife, gardener, traveler, has a daughter she adores, family, and she stood by me when I needed it most. Especially as the tears flew down my face. I only wish she was next door to me right now.

We went through several song possibilities before landing on “What Makes You Beautiful” by One Direction. We like this song because its catchy and the music, lyrics, and video passed our “sesame street” test (meaning family friendly). We thought about the ramifications of taking on a teenybopper boy band tune as five middle-aged married guys who are desperately holding on to their hairlines. One of us even has a son older than the guys in One Direction (we won’t say who) BUT you know us — we love a good challenge! This one was so fun to write that the “challenge” part of it never was felt. We just acted like kids playing a piano and it totally worked! After we figured out the main “techniques” of playing the piano unconventionally we loved experimenting with swapping out chords and throwing the structure of the song around until it clicked.

    surprising piano work!

  9. Lovely award, Jackie! I note your desire to go to Law School…paid for! And your love of animals and animal advocacy. I have a friend who took her law degree and applied it to animal rights. If you really have a passion and the drive to seriously consider Law School, don’t let the finances throw you off the track. Start practicing for the LSAT and put in your applications. I know others who have entered Law School and been given complete scholarships based on schools wanting to fill a particular profile of older adult…think about it! Debra
