Five ? Friday

Concord Law School

1. Do you know what your REAL hair color is? Yes, dark brown to black with two grey hairs LOL.

2. Do you plan ahead for summer, or fly by the seat of your pants? I usually just fly by the seat of my pants. It is rare that I have enough free time in my work/life schedules, as well as money, to be able to schedule a vacation.

3. What is your favorite meal to cook? Italian, I would say anything Italian

4. Do you get offended by not receiving thank you’s? I try not to, but to be honest, it does kinda bother me. I try to pick out gifts that really mean something to the person. I put in a lot of thought, and so it is nice to have that acknowledged in some way.

5. How did you meet your best friend? I could write a book on my best friend in the entire world. One is my boyfriend of 6 years but I want to tell you about my girl friend. Her name is Ronda. She and I met online through Kaplan University as we both enrolled to take Paralegal Degree. Both of us had young kids and worked full time, so attending an actual college was not going to happen. I would have to say it was the best thing I ever did. She and I met in classes we had together and she is from Alabama and I am from Chicago. Though I have never met her in person, I feel like we are sisters with different mothers! She makes handmade quilts and is very gifted. Anyhow, I graduated she did not, she had to drop out because she fell and broke her wrist. It was such a tragedy. She fell on her baby’s toy believe it or not, and I was actually on the phone with her when it happened. She had to call her husband who is a Police officer to come home immediately and take her to the emergency room. I will never forget that day, nor will she. I wish she would blog with me but she is too busy. She is my day and my night. Without her in my life, I really don’t want to go there!

How would you answer these questions? Post your answers in your own blog (or in the comments section below) and then link back here and to Mama M’s blog, the originator of Five Question Friday.

Erica Tucci Zesty Womanhood at 40 and Beyond Book Review

If you believe that turning 40 is a central point in your life then this book is a great resource of reading for you. There are new challenges to experience as women during this spiritually awakening phase of life. The past 40 years helped us to be who we are today. Many of us got married, had a child or two or three and have labels of wife, mother, sister, home maker, coach, launderer, grocery shopper, bill payer, chef, chauffeurs, house keeper, volunteer, pet sitter and much more as Erica explains.

So women wonder at age 40 why we are exhausted! We have learned to put down our own needs and wants for the safe of our family, friends, co workers and so on and so forth. There comes a point where a woman’s boundaries are just nonexistent and we have allowed others to enter into our personal space 24/7. No wonder we are exhausted!

Erica explains that when she published her first book she had set no boundaries for herself. She let her everyday roles keep going as well as adding on the pressure of writing her first book. She does accomplish this with a valuable lesson for all to learn from.

Setting boundaries with others is the key to becoming balanced. It is a balance of giving and receiving not just always being the giver. It is so important to set “me time,” and re-energize ourselves before we can be much help to others in the first place.

This book is a wonderful read which anyone can identify with. Erica writes from her heart and soul. She shares her real life experiences to help women understand why 40 is pivotal point in our lives. Erica asks thought provoking questions to the reader which helped me refocus my life on the “me” aspect and not just the “others” aspect.

If you do purchase the book please let me know what you think.

Here is Eric’s Website: http://www.ericatucci.com/

The kindle version is ready for purchase now. Please visit Amazon.com and place Erica Tucci into the Search Author box. Thank you.

Why does a business exist?

Answer: Because it helps a particular someone with a problem they are facing.

For example answer: (I’m helping *these* people with *this* problem).

Another example: (I help _____________________who (struggle with, want, need, yearn for, are looking for).

HOW TO WRITE YOUR E BOOK

Do you want to write a book?

I really want to write my ebook or more than one ebook. I have one that I am working on now with poems I wrote back 20 years ago. The feedback I have gotten so far from family and friends has encouraged me to “get moving” on this ongoing project I have to finally publish it.

I believe everyone has a story to tell. I know that not everyone wants to do the work to put together their own story and hiring a ghost writer can be handy. I on the other hand wish to do it all alone and then possibly use createspace.com for my publishing needs. This will automatically create my Amazon.com Book Seller information that I wish to share with the world.

Some obstacles can be lack of time, focus, or finding a perfect title. For me, I have to admit I didn’t make the time and if I do then my publishing my book will come easier. My focus needs to be this one project of finishing it and taking action to get it done. The title has been chosen and the poems are started and with atleast 50 pages. With all that said, I will now make the goal to finish this project before I choose my second ebook. Yes, I have so many ideas for books that I work on them all the time. It is time to just finish one project that I have started.

Helpful hints and tips:

  1. Admit that you want to write a ebook or ebook.
  2. Choose your topic, subject or even the title.
  3. If you hate to write, buy a cheap recorder from walmart.com and record your thoughts.
  4. Read up on your topic or subject and take notes, adding your source information to make it easier to add your references.
  5. Talk to family and friends and supportive people to help you along your way.
  6. As one author says, “150 pages” is a great book! To me, it can be any number of pages because it’s Your story.

Feel free to comment below. Thank you for your time and attention.

Post #61 The Great Tag Experiment

This is a peek into what people on WordPress.com are talking about this very instant. It only includes recent activity, so it should change quite a bit over time. Click on any word to see the most recent posts under each tag or category.

The news seems to be the most popular tag out into the world of wordpress.com tags.

Music brings words to life and tags with music create a rolling ball.

Life has it’s ups and downs and trying to stay positive is everyone’s challenge~

Politics are just that politics.

Photography is pictures in words, expressions without words.

Travel seems popular but not something I enjoy doing but tag it for travel lovers.

Art is wonderful as we seek out new “Picasso” like-artists.

Food and Events go together as the television praises all the new things being made at home mothers and father.

This is as far as I can go, mentioning all those tags. :)

This is an experiment I think I failed.

Post It Now: Meaning behind your name

Take this simple quiz: Find the meaning of your name, then go to comments and post it!

Here is mine: Jacqueline

http://www.blogthings.com/whatsyournameshiddenmeaningquiz/

You Are Level-Headed and Trustworthy

You are fair, honest, and logical. You are a natural leader, and people respect you.

You never give up, and you will succeed… even if it takes you a hundred tries.

You are rational enough to see every part of a problem. You are great at giving other people advice.

You are usually the best at everything … you strive for perfection.

You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive.

You have the classic “Type A” personality.

You are very open. You communicate well, and you connect with other people easily.

You are a naturally creative person. Ideas just flow from your mind.

A true chameleon, you are many things at different points in your life. You are very adaptable.

People see you as a complete enigma, and only you truly understand who you are.

You spend most of your time introspecting and seeking truth.

You’re a very interesting person… but not many people know you enough to realize it.

You are a very lucky person. Things just always seem to go your way.

And because you’re so lucky, you don’t really have a lot of worries. You just hope for the best in life.

You’re sometimes a little guilty of being greedy. Spread your luck around a little to people who need it.

You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.

You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.

At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.

You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow.

You are light hearted and accepting. You don’t get worked up easily.

Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is.

You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It’s easy to get you excited… which can be a good or bad thing.

You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don’t stick with any one thing for very long.

You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.

You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people.

You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts.

You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals.

This is really a great post of summing it all up.

Resources from my friend David

My ZEN

Image via Wikipedia

From my favorite website: EDGEOFDAVID

http://edgeofdavid.com

I thought it would be useful to make a resource area on my site where I could list out quality books, products, websites, and courses I know will help you be smart, be happy, and do stuff you love. I will be updating as I discover more. Consider bookmarking this page as it contains a lot of useful links.

http://www.edgeofdavid.com/resourceful/trackback/

PRODUCTIVITY & SELF – SMALL SHIFTS THAT LEAD TO BIG GAINS IN EFFECTIVENESS:

•Decision Maker Process: Limiting beliefs are the root of a mindset that holds you back in life from achieving the results you desire. A good solution is the DMP. It’s a breakthrough process that allows you to remove limiting beliefs in about 20 minutes. Remove limiting beliefs like “I’m not important”, or “I’m just not talented enough”. Check out my review.

•Focus: Focus is about finding simplicity in this age of distraction we live in. It’s also about cultivating the focus that you need to create beautiful stuff, to work on what is important, to reflect, and to find peace in daily life. You can pick up the book for free, or purchase a premium version with some awesome extras.

•Simple Guide to a Minimalist Life: If you are curious or wonder what a simple/minimalist life can look like, this is a great little book to read. As the author states, this book is but only one person’s experience. Regardless, Leo Babauta lays out the essential guidelines with tools he used to simplify his life.

•Sell Your Crap: A cool take on simplicity. Throw out all your lifestyle overhead that is suffocating you AND make money in the process. This guide will teach you what to get rid of and where.

•Zen to Done: Another killer offering from Babauta. Zen to Done is a simple process that will help you a get more organized and productive, live a life with less stress that is more simple, all by developing a set of habits.

•Learn More, Study Less: A holistic learning strategy that will enable you to learn better and faster. A must for any student.

•Four Hour Work Week: How to escape the 9-5 to live and work from anywhere.

DATING & RELATIONSHIPS – RESOURCES TO CREATE THE ROMANTIC LIFE YOU DESIRE:

AWESOME COURSES FROM PROFESSIONAL COACHES

•Men’s Mastery Course – If you have made the commitment to yourself to get your dating life in order AND want a course that teaches virtually every interaction with women from the meeting all the way to the bedroom…check out this awesome course from the #1 dating coach for men, David Wygant. My review.

•The Art of Attracting Men (for women)- If you are tired of meeting all the wrong guys, guys who flake out, guys who are only interested in sex, guys who are overly possessive, and instead want guys you actually like to start approaching you, this course was made for you. On top of all that, it also gives insight into a mans behavior so you know whether or not he is marriage minded or not. My review. •Finding the One Online: A highly acclaimed course that teaches women how to have success with online dating. Ev is a dating coach specializing in “smart, strong, successful” women. Over 20% of all US marriages are a result of online dating. Ev will show you the ropes. Read his entire sales page to best understand his course. I highly recommend.

•Secrets of Online Dating:Same as above, except this course was designed for men and was created by David Wygant. Learn how to leverage dating sites and start meeting women you like. (hint, stop being safe and generic).

•Tantra Sex Techniques: What exactly is Tantra? Tantra is a combination of exercises, education, and intimacy to help you perform better in bed via sex positions, breathing exercises, sensuality and sexuality teachings. It will help you become a prolover. Check out my review.

DATING SITES THAT DELIVER

•Match.com: One of the best dating sites on the web. Paid, but has the largest community of active singles.

•Singlesnet:Create a profile in minutes literally minutes and start flirting with local singles. I meet a Brazilian Aupair of here (lucky me!). It’s well worth checking out.

•Plenty of Fish: The best free dating site period. Tends to have a lot of free dating site bums as I call them, but it’s free and feature rich.

BOOKS/BLOGS THAT ARE REALLY GOOD

•Think Like a Man, Act Like a Lady: Learn what men really think about dating, relationships, and YOU.

•How To Date: A thickish red book on how to date in a post dating world. I picked this up in Boarders and it was so much better than I thought it would be. Covers from a broad perspective everything to do with dating (if you need more specific advice/tactics, check out the dating courses listed)

•Men are From Mars, Women are From Venus: Learn the differences between men and women, and how to bridge those differences to create a better relationship.

•Online Dating Guide: My free 5,000+ word post about online dating (I’m told it’s good).

•Why He Disappeared: A great ebook from Evan Mark Katz, a professional dating coach for women, covering why guys seem interested at first, but then flake out in a relationship based on the signals YOUR sending. He also provides tactics and how to fix it and keep your guy interested.

HEALTH & FITNESS – MASTER THE BODY, IMPROVE YOUR CONDITION:

•Turbulance Training: What I really like about Turbulance Training is it’s comprehensive fat loss and muscle building exercise and routines, as well as the circuit workouts. If you want some great in home training on how to get into really good shape, are serious about doing it, and are a motivated self starter, this is a great fitness course. My review.

•P90X: An in home fitness product that will take you in just 90 days, to get back in shape, or build the body you’ve always wanted. All you need is a set of dumbbells or resistance bands, a pull-up bar, and about an hour a day. No gym membership required.

HELPFUL BLOGS/ DIGITAL DOWNLOADS

•Recession Proof Graduate: A free ebook on how to get any job out of college (hint: stop waiting for permission and start doing free work)

•Minimalist Business: EOD is a minimalist business. Whats that exactly? It’s a business that makes a profit, has a low overhead, and leverages technology and automation so you can live and work anywhere in the world.

•Make Money Blogging: By far, the most comprehensive blog post on how to make money blogging on the web…from of all places a Christian Personal Finance Blog. Regardless of your interest in personal finance, if you’re looking for a free guide this post is the place to start.

INTERNET BUSINESS COURSES

•Site Build It: This is a comprehensive course that is an all in one program, software, and guidance to help the completely new and inexperienced person interested in creating websites get going on building an online business. SBI teaches you the basics, and provides you all the tools you need to create your very own income generating website.

•Keyword Academy: Court and Mark run an AWESOME program aimed at teaching you how to build profitable niche websites. They go over keyword research, how to create content that ranks in search engines, how to build links, and how to really make money with AdSense and affiliate marketing. He gives away a ton of free content just for signing up so go sign up!

•Blogmastermind:Yaro Starak is a problogger who makes over half amillion dollars a year from his publishing empire. He created blogmastermind as a way to teach others how to do the same in any niche or topic based around a blog and your individual passion. Highly recommend if you’re starting out.

•Gurilla Influence Formula: OK, so you have a blog, you know what you’re doing but have not really broken through yet. Tyler Tervooren of Advanced Riskology (my interview with him here) blew up on the scene by reaching 2,000+ subscribers in only three months. In GIF, he reveals exactly how he did it and actionable steps you can repeat NOW to do the same. If you want an effective course, but not something as pricey as Blogmastermind, GIF is an awesome alternative.

BOOKS WORTH VIEWING

•Moonlighting on the Internet: One of the books that motivated me to leverage technology and work online. I finished it in two sitting because it is so good.

•Think and Grow Rich: How a man becomes what he thinks of most, and how you can use this principle to attract wealth.

•How to Get Rich: An anti-personal development book. Felix Dennis covers how he got rich and imparts all his wisdom to you in this book.

In addition, I keep a running list of personal development books that are high value.

Also, I keep a list of my internet marketing tools I use for my internet marketing business.
