Message of Hope and Encouragement for You
How I have missed you girls. It has been nearly a month since I have written on my blog!
Time has flown by as we have celebrated Lauren’s high school graduation, a family reunion, and a visit to the University of Georgia for Lauren’s freshman orientation.
In today’s post, you will find a video message from my heart. First, I share a bit about my “little” girl heading off to college in the fall. I invite ALL comments, prayers, and words of wisdom. This is such a bittersweet time…thrilled for the next part of Lauren’s journey, yet sad for what it means in the day to day life of our family. I can’t imagine life without the sweet sound of her laughter, the clean clothes piled outside her door, the tire tracks on the lawn, and the many memorable trips we take to the mall. How I will miss my sweet girl!!
But more importantly, in this video you will find a message for anyone who finds herself in a place of darkness, wondering if you will ever see light again. Please take time to listen to what the Lord laid on my heart. There are times when we want to give up on God, times we are so angry with what He has allowed that we don’t want to try anymore. We read His Word, and we hear nothing. We pray, and we hear nothing. So we give up. We quit. We crawl back down in our pit.
BUT GOD IS HERE. HE IS PRESENT. He has so many promises to help carry you through the dark times.
He promises He will never leave you or forsake you!!
He promises He has great plans for you…plans to prosper and not to harm you…plans to give you HOPE and a future.
He promises that He WILL work all things together for good for you who love Him and have been called according to His purpose.
He promises to give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places, so that you may KNOW that He is the Lord, the God of Israel, who summons you by name.
He promises that what is impossible with men is possible with Him.
These are all promises from the One who is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He never changes. His Word is eternal. His love is unconditional. His forgiveness complete. His justice certain.
