Day 6: 30 Day Gratitude Challenge

Cover of "The Art of Non-Conformity: Set ...

Cover via Amazon

Today was my first day with “Comcast.” Ok guys and gals, I had no Television for over two years! I had a lousy computer connection with “Cricket.” For example to watch any video, it was like “Christmas” would be here before it loaded.

Today I want to say “Happy St. Patrick’s Day

and I am grateful for Comcast.

Other than that I want to share links below that I do love.

Have a great week.

Love and Light to all who do read this. ♥♥♥ Jackie

Types of Blogs the concept of starting a new blog

Types of Blogs the concept of starting a new blog

When I first started to blog I really had no idea what I was doing. I decided to try out the many different types of “free” blog platforms. At first I tried Blogger.com and enjoyed it as I learned how to use it. Then I also created another personal blog on Livejournal.com. The name itself helped me to create a journal of daily things on my mind. It was easy to figure out and this was over five years ago. Three others that I have tried are Blog.com, InsaneJournal.com, and My favorite WordPress.com. I have more than one personal blog now on WordPress as it’s my favorite to use and easy now that WordPress.tv was created. The videos have helped me to learn the many features inside the WordPress.com blog. Included on the page where you first set up your appearance is a Dashboard. This is where the blogger can go to set up their blog in a personal way fit to their personality. Below the Dashboard:

Upgrades

Posts

Media

Links

Pages

Comments

Feedback

Ratings

Polls

Appearance

Users

Tools

Each one of these mentioned above has a “function” that is really neat. The first thing I did was set up the appearance where I can choose a “theme” suited for what I like. WordPress has so many wonderful “themes” to choose from and you can change them anytime you want.

Now that I have joined in the postadaychallenge2011.com I have learned so much more about blogging. I also pay for a wordpress.org site: http://getreadingnow.com which is something I am working on. I chose that title because I love to read but am need any suggestions and comments to that site? Here are my other two blogs if you are interested. http://getreadingnow.wordpress.com/ and http://whatireadtoday2011.wordpress.com/.

Two new blogs I have made buddies with:

Post #61 The Great Tag Experiment

Tag You are It

March 2, 2011 Tags

This is a peek into what people on WordPress.com are talking about this very instant. It only includes recent activity, so it should change quite a bit over time. Click on any word to see the most recent posts under each tag or category.

News Music Life Politics Photography Travel Fashion Art FoodEvents Calcio Poetry Family Entertainment Videos Movies Local Video Personal Sports FilmRandom Books Writing Love Culture Reviews Education Blog Health Recipes Thoughts Photos TechnologyPeople History Home Media Inspiration Religion Business Design Articles Documentation Humor Misc RelationshipsWatch & listen Television Review Friends Quotes Social Media Musings Nature TV Lifestyle Philosophy Photo 2011 Functions FilesFiction Faith Pictures] All Miscellaneous Opinion Other Current Events Work Games Science Parenting Oscars Environment BloggingEconomy India Spirituality Beauty Comedy Economics English Featured Journal Christianity School Poems Announcements Random ThoughtsFun Cooking Children Libya Leadership Internet Research Interviews House USA Félix Mourinho Updates Stories Drama Architecture AfricaFootball Society Community Shopping Audio Reflections Formula 1 Women Celebrities God Romance Marketing Funny Diary Biten KampanyaBook Reviews Status My Life Kids Rants Variety Event Middle east Posts Blogs Gaming Ramblings China Editorial Haberler Tech WelcomeAlışveriş Awards Vegetarian Sex Commentary Me Europe Hollywood Literature

The news seems to be the most popular tag out into the world of wordpress.com tags.

Music brings words to life and tags with music create a rolling ball.

Life has it’s ups and downs and trying to stay positive is everyone’s challenge~

Politics are just that politics.

Photography is pictures in words, expressions without words.

Travel seems popular but not something I enjoy doing but tag it for travel lovers.

Art is wonderful as we seek out new “Picasso” like-artists.

Food and Events go together as the television praises all the new things being made at home mothers and father.

This is as far as I can go, mentioning all those tags. :)

This is an experiment I think I failed.

Are you Reaching your Goals? (via 4abettalife Blog)

I often read blogs like 10 or more daily. This one really caught my eye. It’s a positive challenge to reaching your goals. I have a “gratitude” rock. I collect stones. It gave me an idea to post them too. Please just check out this young man’s blog as you will not be happy you did.

In my previous post on reaching your goals, I suggested that you needed to understand what your core values are before setting your life goals. We don’t often think about our values, but they are critical to our success and happiness. In my previous post on reaching your goals, I suggested that you needed to understand what your core values are before setting your life goals. We don’t often think about our values, but they are critical to our success and happiness.

Dr John Demartini, human behaviour specialist, suggests writing down your top three responses to these five questions in order to determine your values.

1. How do you fill your space? - things that are important to you are held closely, usually on display in your home or work space, worn or carried around with you. I carry my gratitude rock (http://stufish7.wordpress.com/2011/01/04/do-you-have-a-gratitude-rock/) around with me at all times so Gratitude is one of my values.

2. How do you spend your time ?- you make time for things that are important and run out of time for things that aren’t.

http://stufish7.files.wordpress.com/2011/02/th_034-food-1024×768.jpg&h=120

3. Where do you always have energy for something ?- what energises you when you do it? Writing my blog energises me, so one of my values is Contribution.

4. Where do you spend your money? Would you get behind on your rent to buy a new pair of shoes? Then that says something about what you value.

5. Where are you most organised? Things that come up repeatedly represent your highest values. Hence Family is one of my values.

Once you have identified say your ten values, then it is possible to start to identify your real goals in life and/or business. Demartini argues that the real source of affirmative living is doing things that are congruent with what is really important to you.

> When we set a goal with our highest values in mind, we see the greatest opportunity and are inspired to do the things that really count, to achieve that goal.
>
> When you are congruent, you will endure pain and pleasure in pursuit of your goals. You’ll have more long-term vision, more patience and persistence. You’ll believe in yourself and your internal experience of your life becomes “I can, I know and I do”.

As a budding Life Coach, this is what I want to help my clients achieve for themselves and those they love.

”It’s been said that I collect experiences. That’s because I love to try something new, to travel, to create, to learn, and in general to run amuck. I’m one of those people who get more organized and efficient the busier they get and that leads me to like to take on lots of “projects”. Post#52 HAPPY PRESIDENTS DAY 2011

HAPPY PRESIDENTS DAY 2011

Are banks open or closed on Presidents Day?

Banks are closed due to the federal holiday accourding to the huffingtonpost.com.

CAR SALES

<a href=”http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Motor_Company”>My favorite car company.

My guess is that many are off on President’s Day. I am not going to be off work. My sister is off and their family is going to go look for a new car. Their son just got his drivers license and they need to get him a car of his own. On top of that the “sales” for the day will be quit plentiful. What I wonder is what President Obama is doing on His Day off?! !

Have a Happy Presidents Day Off.

If you are working be blessed while blessing those that are off.

When I get home I will be on facebook.com, look through wordpress.com,

<a href=”http://wordpress.com”>My favorite blogging platform</a>

and find new photo’s for my next blog.
