Monday “what are you reading?”

I have downloaded a Free Ebook “CHANGE YOUR STORY-CHANGE YOUR LIFE” by Stephanie S. Tolan. This book took me 8 hours to absorb all day on Saturday. It has great TO DO and THINK about pages for personal transformation.

UPDATE- THE CAUSE by Matthew Barnett is outstanding so far and each chapter has much to think about and reflect on.

Nicholas Sparks A Bend in the Road is almost finished too!

I am showing off a picture of my daughter too:

Resale Finds 6-3-2011

For those who know me know that I suffer from a chronic cystic acne condition and my sister gave me an newspaper article that told me to put Milk of Magnesia on my face to dry up oil and cure my condition, today is day #1.

Milk of Magnesia for Acne:

Now the most interesting thing about this product is that it cures acne as well if you use it as a topical treatment. As acne is usually problem of oily skin so all those people who has oily skin can use this product to control their skin oil as well. The product is very affective for all types of acne like blackheads and cystic.

How it helps Acne:

Milk of Magnesia is magnesium hydroxide which is alkaline in nature. Due to its alkaline nature it neutralizes excess acid of skin which causes acne. For oily skin it absorbs excess oil. It also has disinfecting properties which keeps blemishes away. If you don’t have oily skin neither you have acne then avoid using milk of magnesium as it will be very harsh for your skin.

How to use it:

Shake the bottle well; with the help of cotton ball apply the solution on your skin. If your skin is not too oily and you don’t have severe acne then you can apply it only on T-zone. Let it dry and then wash it off. Usages depends on your skin condition like if you have sensitive skin then you can try twice a week and if you have oily skin then use it every other day. If you are noticing improvement in your skin and your skin is getting use to it then you can increase number of applications like daily to twice a day

Cats: what their Tales Tell you

Cats use their tails to communicate their emotions, both to other cats and to humans. Below are some typical “tail postures” you will see, and what they mean.

If the tail is curved gently downward, then curved up again at the tip:

The cat is relaxed and comfortable.

If the tail is slightly raised and softly curved:

The cat is beginning to get interested in something.

If the tail is erect, but tip is tilted over, either forward or back:

The cat is very interested and feeling friendly.

If the tail is fully erect and tip is vertical:

The cat is offering a friendly, cheerful greeting.

If the tail is erect with whole length or tip quivering gently:

The cat is showing affection.

If the tail is still, but the tip is twitching occasionally:

The cat is slightly irritated or pensive.

If the tail is still, but tip is twitching intensely:

The cat is very annoyed (with some cats, tho, it seems to indicate the cat is very happy).

If the tail is swishing vigorously from side to side:

The cat is angry.*

If the tail is straight up and fully bristled:

The cat is showing aggression.

If the tail is arched and bristled:

The cat may attack if further provoked.

If the tail is lowered and fluffed out:

The cat is afraid.

If the tail is raised and fluffed out (the “Big Tail“):

The cat is probably happily chasing around.

If the tail is fully lowered, perhaps tucked between hind legs:

The cat is showing defeat or submissiveness (toward another cat) or may be ill.

If the tail is held to one side, and the cat is crouched or with rump in air:

This female cat is ready to mate.

WWW Wednesdays What are you Reading UPDATED

25MAY

WWW Wednesdays (May25)

Posted May 25, 2011 by MizB in 2011, books and reading, weekly event,WWW_Wednesdays. 36 Comments

To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…

• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?

My answers:

What are you currently reading? I’m between books at the moment.

What did you recently finish reading? I just finished “Beastly” by Alex Flinn on Monday night, and it was good! Definitely recommended! A modern-day retelling of “Beauty and the Beast“. ;)

What do you think you’ll read next? I have no idea! Funny thing is, I have review books coming, but not for a while, yet. And, I don’t have any library books here, at this time. So, I’m trying to choose from my own shelves — something I haven’t often gotten to do (thanks to reviewing). So, it’s a tough decision! I (obviously) want to read them ALL — so little time, so many books! I did get 10 new-to-me books from a used-book place, on the weekend, though — one of which was “Love the One You’re With” by Emily Giffin. So maybe that’s what I’ll read. ;)

PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own WWW Wednesdayspost, or share your answer in a comment here (if you don’t have a bl0g). Thanks!

Do you hate to do Laundry? I know I do…here is what I read on a post today…..

The Problem: You hate doing laundry almost as much as you hate shelling out the dough for detergent and the coin-op laundry. And nothing bugs you more than spending a precious weekend afternoon washing and folding.

The Solution: Dry cleaning is definitely expensive, but washing the rest of your clothes can be surprisingly affordable. Rates vary by geographic location, but can be as low as 79 cents per pound. If you don’t have a home washing machine to begin with, laundry service might be a good choice for you.

I would love to do this for a living as well as Clean and Organize for others. They kind of all go together too.

A Prayer Wheel is meant to be a Steering Wheel

1] Prayer is not a “spare wheel” that you pull out when in trouble; it is a “steering wheel” that directs us in the right path throughout life.

2] Do you know why a car’s WINDSHIELD is so large & the rear view mirror is so small? Because our PAST is not as important as our FUTURE. So, look ahead and move on.

3] Friendship is like a BOOK. It takes few seconds to burn, but it takes years to write.

4] All things in life are temporary. If going well enjoy it, they will not last forever. If going wrong don’t worry, they can’t last long either.

5] Old friends are like Gold! New friends are Diamonds! If you get a Diamond, don’t forget the Gold! Because to hold a Diamond, you always need a base of Gold!

6] Often when we lose hope and think this is the end, GOD smiles from above and says, “Relax, sweetheart, it’s just a bend, not the end!

7] When GOD solves your problems, you have faith in HIS abilities; when GOD doesn’t solve your problems HE has faith in your abilities.

8] A blind person asked St. Anthony: “Can there be anything worse than losing eye sight?” He replied: “Yes, losing your vision.”

9] When you pray for others, God listens to you and blesses them; and sometimes, when you are safe and happy, remember that someone has prayed for you.

10] WORRYING does not take away tomorrow’s TROUBLES; it takes away today’s PEACE.

Five Question Friday

Acne Vulgaris: A: Cystic acne on the face, B: ...

Image via Wikipedia

Five Question Friday

1. If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be? This is hard to answer. I have to clear up my cystic acne to help my self esteem. Today I got a fresh hair cut, I usually do my own since I am a Lic. Cosmetologist. So this felt great, and I got my nails done.

2. Write about a time when you got lost. I have gotten lost while driving places many times but the GPS has now solved that problem!

3. Camping or 5 star hotel? I love to do both!

4. Have you donated blood? Yes, many times.

5. Do you have a budget or do you ‘fly by’ most months?

I budget always, I have 0 debts.

Here are my bills:

Rent: 600.00

Electric: 70.00

Phone: 60.00

Internet-TV- 100.00

TOTAL: 830.00 a month

My experiment

Jackie Paulson 2011 March

Yes, this is me, Jackie Paulson

What you do not know is that I have cystic acne. I am now experimenting. I have mixed water and AMOXICILLIN on my face. The doctor has me taking Internally 875mg a day or more. Well, If I can beat the bacteria on the inside, I need to beat it on the outside. So, Guess what It is Working. I have struggled for six years with this awful dis-ease.

Slowly over the years, after I cannot cover up my acne, I slowly withdrew from the outside world. It is horrible that the outside world does judge by appearance. I do not have any real friends where I live. I have more online friends. This is perhaps why I love to blog and meet new friends. Why not? can still feel connected to people this way. My spouse had been a supportive man who does all the shopping. I will not go out in public unless basically I am FORCED. Yes I do work, but where I work, I don’t have to worry about how I look in Security. Go ahead piss me off, see what happens!

I decided to openly come public with this. I believe I am misdiagnosed. Now I need the Vampire Face lift because of all the scars. My own fault is that I use an exact-o Knife and dig to get out the acne, why? Its soos painful. It feels better when I dig it all out.

Here is a recent photo too: see my camera doesn’t put the right date on it, I need a new one. Donations of a new camera with date would be nice.
